Lamtoplax Linnavuori, 1982: 20, 21-22, 23.
Type Species: Phyllocephala volxemi StDl, 1876, by original designation.
Tribal Placement: Linnavuori (1982) originally placed this genus in his Phyllocephala group, and although it does not have the humeral angles produced forward, a character that Kamaluddin & Ahmad (1991) used to define this tribe, Linnavuori (1982) indicated that Lamtoplax was closely related to Melampodius, a member of the Cressonini.
