Acledra breviscutata Breddin, 1914: 58.

Distribution: Bolivia.

Type Information: STS (%, &), Bolivia, Oruro, DEIC, although Gaedike (1971) did not list any specimens.

Translation of Breddin's 1914 original description

Male, Female. Similar to A. dimidiaticollis and closely connected, but clearly wider, flater above, the second antennal segment almost 1.5 times as long as the third, the transverse bulge between the shoulders almost completely disappeared, especially toward the sides, the scutellum considerably shorter, less pointed, the pointed part already much wider at the base, the longitudinal callouses of the scutellum completely disappeared here, the punctation evenly close, only near the basal corner a small calloused fleck, the downwardly pressed outer basal corner of the scutellum persistently black.  Corium unflecked, the back corner of the connexival segments not extended.

The juga only very little or not at all hangs over the clypeus (which barely gets smaller toward the front) in the last case widely gaping, the side edges in front of the eyes only slightly indented.  Head and pronotum up to the shoulder callous bright greenish, colorlessly punctate.  Forehead side toward eyes with a few black dots, the outer edge of the cicatrical fields on the pronotum with blackish dot flecks; the part of the pronotum which lies behind the callouses completely faded brown-red with extensive and delicate black punctation.  Scutellum green, the pointed part yellowish, latter with two fuzzy flecks which are the result of merging black dots; the completely impunctate edge of the pointed part (which narrows toward the front) is bright yellowish.  Corium and clavus obliterated carmine red with extensive black little dots; not flecked.  Abdomen back black, connexiva and underside faded greenish.  Antennae blood red, the end pitch brownish.  Length 7.25-8 mm.  Shoulder width 4.5-4.67 mm.

    Bolivia (Oruro, 4000 m) - My collection.
