Electric Vaporizers

        One method of control of household pests utilized electric devices that would heat up special insecticide tablets (usually lindane), these in turn, would then vaporize.  The fumes would then kill any insects in the room.  These devices can placed in one of two categories: Vaporizers (stand-alone devices made specifically for this purpose) and electric light bulbs.  The electric light bulbs are usually made to stand upright in a lamp, and they have the top hollowed out in some manner to hold the insecticide tablets.  As the bulb warms, the tablets will begin to vaporize.
