During the first week of Governor's School, scholars will participate in a broad-based training program in mathematics studies. Then, the Math program will be broken into several distinct modules on a wide variety of topics, each taught by a different Mathematics faculty member. To list some, students will have the option to work on Classical and Contemporary Cryptography, Elementary Number Theory, Mathematics of Finance, and will explore mathematical models from creating and testing a model to its analysis and improvement. Scholars will present their model and findings during the final week of Governor's School. No doubt, this exposure will prove beneficial for them in future mathematics courses.
