This week we are featuring Campus Kudos winner, Dr. Christi McGeorge! Christi is a faculty member in the department of Human Development and Family Science.
Christi was nominated by Amolia Schumacher, who had this to say; "As a young professional stepping into working with academic affairs for the first time, I have been incredibly thankful to work with Christi McGeorge. Not only adored by her students and peers, Christi is a well-respected advocate in the campus and community. Christi was quick to welcome me as the advisor for HDFS and create space for me to become part of the team.
She is a passionate professional within her field, but also shows a dedication to students and their experience unlike anything I have witnessed. She constantly asks what we can do to improve the student experience, not to aid in retention, but because she truly cares about each student as individuals.
She plans events to connect students, staff, and faculty in HDFS and beyond; she will leave no stone unturned if there is a possibility of helping a student. She is gracious to those around her, thoughtful and inclusive to all, and incredibly student-focused.
Her passion is rare to find and is a breath of fresh air to all those she encounters. If I can become half the thoughtful, poised, and impactful leader that Christi is, I will consider myself very lucky.
Kudos to Christi for being a great Bison! Thank you for your support of the NDSU community!
