Transfer Your SEVIS Record
If you are accepted into a program at another school, NDSU can release your SEVIS record the new school. Before submitting your request, please collect the following documents:
- new school transfer-in form
- Some schools require this, but some do not. Be sure to check your new school's policy.
- official acceptance letter to the new school
- The letter must list the semester and year for which you have been accepted.
Notes
- When your SEVIS record is release, all active work authorization ends. This includes on-campus employment, CPT, and OPT.
- If you are registered for a future term at NDSU, you must also cancel/withdraw your NDSU registration.
- Inform other NDSU offices about your transfer (Residence Life, your supervisor, etc).
- Be sure to also complete any steps from your new school to complete the transfer process.
