Our History
The Landscape Architecture program at North Dakota State University began as a joint venture between the Departments of Horticulture and Architecture between 1970 and 1980. As the program grew and the profession of landscape architecture matured, NDSU offered a full degree, the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, in 1983. The program graduated its first class of four students in 1988. The Landscape Architecture program now offers a professional Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree.
