Graduate Program Outcomes
Four program education outcomes (PEO) have been established for the graduate program. These outcomes represent the knowledge and skills that students are expected to demonstrate by the time of graduation.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex mechanical engineering-related problems by applying advanced principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- Students will demonstrate expertise in advanced experimentation and/or computation, and will be able to form meaningful and succinct objectives/hypothesis, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
- Students will develop the ability to generate journal articles, reports, patents, or other documents of high professional quality, complete advanced engineering design projects, and deliver presentations with significant technical content and data that describes complex mechanical engineering systems.
- Students will possess the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, especially within the scientific and engineering communities.
