- Head disproportionately large.
- Pronotum broader anteriad.
- Tegmina brachypterous (short-winged) and leaf-like. Rarely macropterous.
- Outer face of hind femur gray brown on upper half, fading to horn yellow on lower half.
- Inner face of hind femur bright yellow.
- Ventral surface of hind femur orange.
- Hind tibia blue.
- Male cercus triangular somewhat flattened, attenuated to apex.
- Ovipositor without dorsal tooth.
- Overall color sandy brown.
- Large head apparent in later instars.
- Black post-ocular stripe from eye to metazona.
- Outer face of hind femur with unbroken black stripe.
