The Department of Nursing recently received notice of a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services. Funding is evenly distributed over the grant period of three years with $311,349 received the first year. The purpose of the grant is expansion of the NDSU Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with emphasis on assisting nurses, with master’s degrees in another specialty, complete study leading to the DNP degree and certification as a family nurse practitioner.
