Colleagues,

I am writing today with sadness for our colleagues at Michigan State University, and on behalf of all of us at NDSU, to express our condolences for the losses to the friends and families of the victims. We also send our expressions of support to the entire Michigan State community during this period of grief.

While we can never know what might cause these sorts of attacks, we do our best to prepare. Please review the videos and guidance offered by our University Police and Safety Office, https://www.ndsu.edu/police_safety/universitypolice/active_shooter/.  I encourage you to participate in trainings that are offered, and review this information periodically.

Again, our hearts go out to our Land Grant colleagues at Michigan State.
