How did the NDSU MPH prepare you for the workforce?
NDSU’s MPH MID program prepared me with expertise in a wide variety of infectious disease, epidemiological methods and strong sense of the inner workings of public health organizations.
Current Position
My current position is an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist with Reno County Health Department in Kansas.
How are you impacting the health of the community with which you work?
I handle all infectious and non-infectious disease investigations for my county, while also helping out boarding counties with their investigations. I am also helping Reno County become accredited through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) and currently helping spearhead our Community Health Assessment with Reno County’s healthcare system and partners. I also partake in Mosquito Surveillance with our Environmental Health Department.
