I am originally from Crookston, Minnesota. I am now living in Jamestown, North Dakota and working as the Director of Health Promotion at Central Valley Health District. I received by Bachelors of Science in Public Health Education from the University of North Dakota.

How did the NDSU MPH prepare you for the workforce?
The MPH program provided me the ability to gather with like-minded, up in coming professionals to further my public health education. This education will in hopes advance my career in the future in the local public health field.
Current position
Working full time in local public health in North Dakota
How are you impacting the health of your region?
My passion is in the local, rural communities of the Midwest. I thrive off of sector collaboration and community change. Working in Jamestown, I have the ability to dedicate my time and resources to the area community; whether it is through health advocacy and education, prevention messaging, grant writing, policy change and much more (particularly in the area of substance use prevention and physical activity). I also work as a certified car seat technician providing car seat checks, education and distributions.
