I am from Cherokee, NC and am a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology at Maryville College.

How did the NDSU MPH prepare you for the workforce?
NDSU MPH prepared me for the work force by teaching me about important policy that impacts our American Indian/Alaska Native communities. It also prepared me by teaching me how to actively apply public health principals in my every day work.

How are you impacting the health of your region?
Currently, I am in Northern California working to expand substance abuse treatment and overdose prevention services throughout the state with our Urban Indian partner programs.
