The American Public Health Association (APHA) will hold its annual meeting and expo in New Orleans. The 142nd APHA Annual Meeting and Expo will be held November 15 - November 19, 2014. The theme will be Healthography: How where you live affect your health and well-being.Each year’s annual meeting is a chance for members of the public health community to learn and network with their peers. Members use this time to present the latest research and information while advocating for public health issues and policies.This year NDSU has four members presenting:
- Don Warne, director, oral presentation, entitled "638 Toolkit" Considerations for Tribes Regarding Contracting for Clinical Services from the IHS"
- Mary Larson, assistant professor, poster presentation, entitled "Health indicators and academic achievement: Implications for colleges and universities"
- Andrea Huseth-Zosel, research associate/lecturer, poster presentation (2), entitled “Rural/Urban Difference in Child Passenger Safety Anticipatory Guidance Provision by Health Care Providers” and “Mobility Counseling Provided by Health Care Providers to Older Drivers: A Rural/Urban Comparison”
- Kelsey Folkert, MPH Student, poster presentation, entitled "HIV, Hepatitis C Virus, and Hepatitis B Virus Seroprevalence and Occupational Exposure Risks Among Emergency Workers: A Literature Review"
