The project began as a library for real time three-dimensional
visualization. We had video games in mind, as well as scientific
visualization. In the end we never finished the video game, but the
scientific visualization part became more and more important. From
these beginnings a a library developed that is supposed to make
scientific visualization as easy as possible. In this introduction I
will leave out the details of the graphics machine and focus only on
the use of library functions for scientific visualization.
I hope that a full documentation of the software will become available
in the future to make it easier for others to extend the library.
