Contemporary Women Writers

Note: this schedule is flexible and in-progress.

After each date below you'll find a reading and possibly a writing assignment due for that day. You' may also see a summary of tentative class activities. If you miss a class, please contact a couple classmates for full notes and instructions. Then see me if necessary, if you have specific, informed questions.  (You're expected to be prepared for each class meeting, whether you missed the previous one or not.)  If you ever have questions, don't hesitate to contact me by email:  Cindy Nichols.

Read Lewis, The Unbeliever: all poems, pp. 1-59 (plus epigram).

Read Williams, Breaking and Entering: pp. 1-278 (aprx. 40-50 pp. per day). Everyone will select a motif and note its occurrances.

Finish Lewis, begin Williams. Postmodern and Existential lenses. Novel worksheet.

Prepare Book of Notions for evaluation check: provide any needed headers, dates, clarifications. Re-write/print any segments that might be difficult to read.

Revise Personal Thread entries as-needed for neatness, development, etc.
