Adults
- Antennae capitate (males) or clavate
(females).
- Face and abdomen with a black and
white pattern.
- Facial stripes follow sutures.
- Lateral fovaeolae elongate-rectangular.
- Tegmen of male oval and fenestrate
along costal margin, usually with a
white basal streak.
- Tegmen of females ½ length of
abdomen with a white basal streak.
- Adults in late Spring and early
Summer.
Nymphs
- Face with vertical stripe pattern.
- Elongate-rectangular foveola which
are visible from above occur in no
other early Spring nymphs.
- Occur in early Spring.
