Adults
- Tegmen not spotted.
- Ventral femur bright yellow.
- Hind tibia blue.
- Male cercus flattened and 'finger-like' upturned with a straight ventral margin.
- Furculae flattened, each with apex rounded and spatulate in outline.
- Male subanal plate with a weak median tubercle.
- Ovipositor with a dorsal tooth.
- Probably indistinguishable from M. bowditchi.
