Upper frons with scales directed downward, lower frons
with scales directed upward. Forewings rectangular, CuA2 from basal
2/3 of discal cell. Superfamily Tortricoidea.

Family Tortricidae,
Bell moths, Leaf rollers. Ocelli present, maxillary palpi small,
visible above labial palpi, proboscis without scales, fws with CuA2 arising
from lower 2/3 of discal cell, fws often with costal fold. World wide there are more than 6,100 species. At least
2,200 occur in North America.
