Identification key to the Plusiinae occurring in the Dakotas

6a (6).    Stigma consisting of a 'u-shaped' proximal and round distal spot,
         these may be contiguous and all silver.  Male inter-segmental tufts yellow. 
        Trichoplusia ni (Hübner). 

6a'    Stigma attenuate and with silver outline only.  Male inter-segmental tufts brown.
