Euxoa pleuritica (Grote 1876)

Common name: No accepted common name, listed here as 'Fawn brown dart.'

Hodges #: 10727.

Identification: Rfw 14.7  mm, groundcolor brown, darker and paler brown scales give an overall mottled appearance; transverse lines double, black. Generic characters of Euxoa-- frons with a raised ring, long sacculus extension.

Similar species:10749, 10801, 10838, 10847, 10850, and 10863.

Distribution: Across southern Canada and northern United States, southward in the Rockies to Arizona.

Hosts: Natural  hosts are unknown, reared on Russian thistle (Cook 1930).
