Epermeniidae: Ochromolopinae


Ochromolopis ramapoella (Kearfott 1903)

Common name: listed here as ‘Ochre-patched epermeniid’

Hodges #: 2334.

Identification: Rfw 6.0 mm, fw with black tufts along inner margin; fw with ochre patches, ground color white basad and darkening towards apex; hind tibiae with dense irregular dorsal setae.

Similar species: none in North Dakota.

Distribution: Southern Canada and temperate United States, south in Rockies to Utah.

Hosts: Comandra umbellata (L.) Nutt.– Bastard toadflax.
