Coloradia pandora Blake 1863

Common name: Pandora moth.

Hodges #: 7724.

Identification: Rfw 33.1 mm; hw with fuscous pm band, margin, and overall pink reflectance; pro-tibial apical spine longer than tibial apical width.

Similar species: 7696, 7725.

Distribution: Three populations: 1) ND, SD, NE, WY, ID, CO, northern UT; 2) TX, NM, AZ, southern UT; 3) CA, NV, OR.

Hosts: Larval host in ND, Pinus ponderosa Laws– Ponderosa pine.
