Virbia laeta (Guérin-Méneville 1832)

Common name: Joyful virbia.

Hodges #: 8114.

Identification: Rfw 12.2 mm, fw venation quadrifid, dorsal surface of antennae uniform brown, ventral abdomen black; hw lacking discal spot dorsad and ventrad.

Similar species:  8125, 8123, 8121, 8092, 6256.

Distribution: southern Canada and U.S., east of 100th meridian.

Hosts: Larvae have been reared on Plantago-- plantain, and Taraxicum-- dandelion. .
