Common name: Herald moth.

Hodges #: 8555.

Identification: Rfw 19.5 mm, fws scalloped and marked with white and orange, legs chocolate brown, each segment annulate with white, lower frons glossy.

Similar species: 9952.

Distribution: transcontinental in northern and temperate North America, also in Eurasia.

Hosts: Species of Populus– poplar and Salix– willow.
