Anagrapha falcifera (Kirby 1837)

Common name: Celery looper moth.

Hodges #: 8924.

Identification: Rfw 16.8 mm, fw stigma tear-shaped, contiguous with am. line to base, inner margin strongly concave at tornal angle; venter with pm. line crossing both wings. Meta-tibiae with spiniform setae.

Similar species: 8913, 8916.

Distribution: central Canada to Mexico.

Hosts: Larvae have been recorded on a wide variety of plants including vegetable crops such as: beet, cabbage, carrot, celery, corn, and lettuce.
