Common name: Listed here as
'Silver-eight looper moth.'

Identification: Rfw 15-18 mm, fw mottled gray with some brown shading in
median area, stigma an irregular 'sideways 8' usually gray filled. Meta-tibiae with a
few spiniform setae. Male valve with a preapical seta.

Distribution: Alaska to Labrador, southward to northeast and north
central United States. Lafontaine & Poole (1991), p 103, fig. 44 show a
collection record for the northeastern quarter of ND.
Hosts: Larvae feed on Vaccinium species.
