1. Download time

• 10 secs at 56 kps (about 50 k file size).

2. Content

• Carefully-edited?
• Compelling?
• Easily to scan?

3. Splash pages

• If yes, appropriate for site?

4. Home page

• Identify site in four seconds max.
• Where is logo?
• CRUD: Contrast, Repetition, Unity (proximity and alignment), Dominant element.
• Contact information?

5. Navigation

• 5-7 links.
• Intuitive.
• Orientation to user's place on site.

6. Graphics

• Appropriate content, high quality.
• Optimized file sizes for quick download.
• ALT tags.

7. Text

• Easy-to-read font and size.
• Easy-to-read color contrast.

8. Indexing

• META tags.
• Page title.

9. Validation

• In Dreamweaver or valildation web site.
