Position Overview

The Department of Residence Life provides summer conference housing in support of the University's mission of teaching, research, and public service. Thirteen Conference Team Members are hired per summer to live on campus from mid-May to mid-August to serve as the main customer service representatives for the more than 7,000 participants who attend events on campus. Responsiblities include staffing the front desk, conducting hall rounds, preparing hall space for guests, and performing administrative duties for check-in/checkout.

Residence Life has two immediate positions open!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service for guests staying in the residence halls
    • Staff main desk
    • Complete daily hall rounds
    • Provide on-call coverage when groups are on campus
  • Perform administrative duties
    • Prepare residence hall spaces for guests
    • Check guests in/out of residence halls
    • Complete paperwork
    • Attend weekly meetings

Compensation:

  • $12/hour, average 20 hours/week
  • Free block meal plan
  • Free single room in a residence hall (If you currently have housing, you are only required to stay overnight in your residence hall while camps are in your building, e.g. USA Wrestling July 11 - 21)
