Resident Assistants (2024-2025)
NDSU Residence Life has reopened our Resident Assistant (RA) application for the 2024/2025 academic year!
Immediate Opening for Fall:
We have an immediate fall semester opening for a female-identifying engineering major. This RA will live on the 8th floor of Sevrinson Hall within the Engineering Leadership Learning Community.
RA Candidate Pool Positions for Fall:
This position is not an immediate hire into the RA role. We frequently have openings after our initial hiring date and we look to our candidate pool to fill positions throughout the year. Your application will remain active through the fall semester, and you may be contacted with an offer at any time.

Position Overview
Resident Assistants (RAs) help to fulfill the Department of Residence Life mission to create a vibrant, healthy place to live and learn. The heart of the RA job is creating positive relationships and experiences for the students living in our halls! RAs care for residents by helping create connections, offering resources and support, and engaging in hall and campus activities.
Compensation includes:
- A scholarship to cover the cost of housing, minimally valued at $9,000.
- A meal plan option of 5-day unlimited, 7-day unlimited, or 170 block meals. Block meal plans are only available to RAs in Niskanen Hall and Matthew Living Learning Center.
- A scholarship of $50 per semester for RAs in their first year of employment, with a $25 increase every two semesters of employment within the RA position.
