Your Passport to Global Opportunities Starts Here
The Global Studies Major (secondary major only) at NDSU is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global issues, international relations, and cross-cultural communication. This interdisciplinary program combines coursework from various fields to prepare students for careers in international affairs, diplomacy, global business, non-profit organizations, and more.
Study Abroad
Global Studies Majors are required to complete a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks abroad. Students can study and earn credits, they can complete internships for their primary major, volunteer and in some cases work. Spending an extended amount of time in another country allows students to immerse themselves in a different culture, gain international experience, and apply what they've learned in a real-world context. Minors are strongly encouraged to complete a study abroad as well. Visit International Student and Study Abroad Services (ISSAS) to explore the many study, work and intern abroad possibilities.
