Theatre NDSU Students, Faculty Bring Home Awards from Regional Festival
It’s been an exciting and fulfilling week for Theatre NDSU. In addition to performing “Glory” to over 1,000 audience members at the Region 5 American College Theatre Festival in Rochester on January 21, many students and faculty received awards for their performances at the festival, which ran January 18-24, and in mainstage productions from 2025.
Bravo to everyone for receiving these awards and for representing North Dakota State University on a regional scale!

Next On Stage: "The Sound of Music"
Theatre NDSU and the Challey School of Music proudly present a co-production of "The Sound of Music" in April 2026!
This iconic tale of love, hope, and resilience follows a young nun, Maria, who is sent to the Von Trapp family to serve as governess for seven unruly children. She teaches the children to sing and gradually captures the heart of Captain Von Trapp, only to have their world splintered by the invasion of the Nazis. Based on the true story of the Von Trapp Family Singers, "The Sound of Music" reminds us that hope can be found and transformed into courage, and with heartfelt compassion and determination, every mountain can be climbed.
Come experience this beloved musical at 7:30 p.m. April 9-11 and 2 p.m. April 12 in NDSU Festival Concert Hall!
