I was raised on a purebred cattle and row-crop farm, and have been involved with agriculture my whole life, from showing cattle in 4-H to starting my own cattle business in high school. Restoring old tractors and farm implements is one of my favorite pastimes, as well as visiting farms and ranches and talking with producers. As the son of a World War II vet, I am a history buff, particularly World War II history. My wife and I are both from South Carolina, but enjoy the beautiful summers and exciting winters here in North Dakota. We have 3 grown children who each live in a different state in a different region of the country, so we also enjoy traveling.
