I help manage several grant-funded projects of Dr. Marisol Berti, the primary investigator for Forages, Cover Crops, and Bioenergy Crop Production at North Dakota State University. In my day-to-day role, I handle communications, fieldwork, team organization, research, and development to improve the efficiency, impact, and outreach of the Berti Lab. I am also involved in extra-institutional responsibilities including as coordinator of the RCAP Graduate Forum and conference organizer for the 36th Annual Meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Industrial Crops in Fairbanks, Alaska, more info at aaic.org/36th-annual-conference-beta
Within my own research, I am currently working on one field experiment on the application of beneficial microorganisms in alfalfa production in addition to a modeling experiment to develop a tool for cradle-to-gate life cycle analysis (LCA) of camelina sativa. I also help to manage 8 other projects within the Berti Lab and work together with our wonderful team of students and staff to conduct ongoing research.
