Whether you are a New-Year-New-You resolution person, or heading steady into 2023, the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center is ready to move forward with you.

Not only are our staff in the middle of attending their own Meeting Seasons, (when travel is possible, or when there is an opening in their Zoom schedule), we have been planning educational sessions for YOU to attend. Which of these sessions will be best for you?

Closest on our calendar horizon is NDSU Feedlot School, January 18-19. There are a few seats available for this intensive two-day course for cattle producers, feeders, backgrounders, feed industry personnel, animal health-care suppliers, and anyone interested in learning more about feedlot productions, nutrition, waste management and marketing. Come prepared, though: day two begins at our Livestock Unit, reviewing our low-stress cattle handling facilities, feed mill, and feed bunks. Details and registration are available at https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/ag-hub/events/ndsu-feedlot-school .

Advanced Crop Advisers Workshop is February 7-8 at the Fargo Holiday Inn. This is an advanced workshop for agricultural professionals, including crop consultants, agronomists, Extension agents and agribusiness representatives who advise farmers with recommendations on crop production. Certified Crop Advisers can earn up to nine CEUs by fully participating in this popular workshop. Details and registrations are available at https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/ag-hub/events/2023-advanced-crop-advisers-workshop .

Prefer something closer to your home, perhaps actually from the comfort of your home or office? The 2023 season of Getting It Right Crop Productions webinars has already begun! Don’t worry if you missed the first two sessions, because recordings are available online and all of our experts are as close as your phone or email. Start your browsing at https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/ag-hub/getting-it-right . Sessions with concise, expert advice on soybean, dry bean, corn, canola, and sunflower production are available, along with videos from prior years and curated resource lists for each crop.

A custom manure haulers meeting has been scheduled, too. Contact Mary Keena for details and an invitation.

While all of these highlighted events are coordinated by staff at the Carrington REC, all of NDSU Extension is constantly scheduling educational sessions. Browse through https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/ag-hub/events to find online or in-person sessions that are of interest to you.

If we can help you find a class or meeting, or walk you through registration, please call us at 701-652-2951. We’re here to help.
