Horse Management Video Review

With the increase of chirping crickets during evening chores, comes the certainty of an impending season change. While we all like to think that this will be the year we experience sweatshirt weather for days on end while sipping pumpkin spice lattes and observing the beautiful fall mums, the reality for animal owners in North Dakota is that a hard frost is around the corner and we still have a lot of things to get done!

While you may have everything back in tip-top shape after last winter, I certainly do not. The pony’s winter pen needs to be cleaned and a handful of panels in the sheep corral need to be reset (snow removal was rough last winter).

With that said, I went through the NDSU Extension Horse Management Webinar Series videos and picked out a few I thought might be helpful as we head into the next season. While these are primarily geared toward horse owners, I do think any small farm with animals will find something useful in them.
