Complaint Resolution Process
The complaint resolution process supports the campus learning environment and contributes to student learning and the overall safety and care of the NDSU community.
The process fosters the development of personal accountability and commitment to community by resolving conflicts involving students accused of violating Rights and Responsibilities of Community: A Code of Student Conduct, and helping students understand how individual decisions affect themselves and others.
The complaint resolution process includes the following: receipt of an incident report, an investigation (if warranted), a notice of alleged violations, the prehearing conference, the administrative hearing, notice of decision, and the right to appeal.
The following information will provide an overview of the process, but information regarding the process in its entirety is available in the Code.
