Stictonotus StDl, 1870: Stiretrus rugosus Germar, 1839, by subsequent designation (Schouteden, 1907). Oncogaster StDl, 1870: Stiretrus caeruleus Dallas, 1851, by subsequent designation (Schouteden, 1907). Stiretroides Schouteden, 1907: Stiretrus loratus Germar, 1839, by original designation. Karaibocoris Schumacher, 1912: Stiretrus quinquepunctatus Germar, 1839, by original designation.

Taxonomic Placement: This genus is a member of the Subfamily Asopinae.
