NDSU President David Cook will again travel across the state this summer as part of the university’s annual North Dakota Tour, scheduled for July 14 through Aug. 7.

The tour is designed to strengthen relationships with community leaders, agricultural producers, alumni and local partners while highlighting NDSU’s statewide impact as North Dakota’s land-grant, research university.

President Cook will visit selected locations in western and eastern North Dakota. The tour aligns with the NDSU’s Research Extension Center field days, annual events that showcase the latest university-led research and innovation in agriculture.

President Cook will meet with local stakeholders, Extension personnel, producers and NDSU alumni during his stops on the tour, which underscores the university’s commitment to North Dakota’s rural communities, economy and workforce development.

Field day events offer the public an opportunity to engage with NDSU faculty and scientists, view applied research projects and explore how NDSU is addressing real-world challenges in crops, livestock, technology and resource management.

NDSU Extension and Research Extension Centers in Hettinger, Dickinson, Williston, Minot, Carrington, Streeter, Langdon and the Agronomy Seed Farm in Casselton will host events as part of the tour. President Cook also will visit key industry sites and participate in community discussions at selected stops along the route.
