Step into a world of music with NDSU’s renowned performing ensembles. From the harmonious Madrigal Singers to captivating opera performances, our students shine in a variety of musical genres.
Feel the rhythm with the Gold Star Marching Band, also known as “The Pride of North Dakota,” with their electrifying performances at games, parades and special events. Wherever they go, the Gold Star Marching Band brings the energy and Bison pride with them.

Theatre
Theatre NDSU sets the stage for phenomenal productions. NDSU students produce a dynamic lineup of performances throughout the year for students and the community to enjoy. Productions range from classic plays to contemporary works.

Culture
NDSU celebrates the vibrancy of the community through a variety of cultural events. Ring in the Lunar New Year with the Asian Student Organization as they showcase traditional performances, music and cuisine. Experience Afrique, an annual event hosted by the Black Student Association, featuring a powerful variety show with dance, singing, original poetry and a fashion showcase. Each spring, the Woodlands and High Plains Powwow honors Indigenous history and culture with traditional dance, music and ceremony. The event is held in partnership with MSUM, M State, Concordia College, NDSCS and MSCTC.
NDSU Museum & Collections
NDSU’s Museum and Collections is the official museum of the university. MAC showcases an array of diverse collections that have shaped our history and inspire future generations, including artifacts ranging from rare historical documents to unique scientific specimens.
Rather than being located in one place, MAC has a presence across campus and beyond. You’ll find a variety of galleries that display a diverse range of collections highlighting the university's rich history, scientific achievements and cultural heritage, along with portals, which will allow you to travel through time to gain new perspectives on how history shapes the present and future.
