There is still time to become an NDSU student in 2024, whether it’s part of our freshman class, as an international student, transfer or at the graduate level.
There are no required application fees, test scores or essays with undergraduate applications, making the process to start your journey to success speedy and straightforward.
First year, international and transfer students need to complete an online application. Each category has its own application.

Deadline to apply for admission for fall is Aug. 1
Deadline to apply for admission for spring is Dec. 1
Applications are evaluated as documents are received. We strongly encourage students to apply by June 1 for fall. A non-refundable application fee is collected through the online application portal with submission.
Priority admission deadlines are Nov. 1 (spring) and March 1 (fall). The final deadline to apply is Dec. 15 (spring) and Aug. 1 (fall).
Potential NDSU graduate students can apply and submit supplemental materials and application fee online.
Requirements for domestic and permanent residents or international graduate students also are available online.
