Admission Guidelines
NDSU considers an applicant’s overall academic performance including cumulative college grade point average (GPA), college courses attempted and completed, and in some cases, high school information (if fewer than 24 transferable college credits have been completed at the time of application).
24 or more completed transferable college credits:
- College coursework attempted/completed
- 2.0 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale) from all post-secondary institutions
Less than 24 completed transferable college credits:
- College coursework attempted/completed
- 2.0 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale) from all post-secondary institutions
- High school coursework, grades and GPA from high school

Ready to Apply?
- Complete and submit the online Application for Admission.
- Request official transcripts be sent for all colleges attended, even if credits were not successfully completed.

Dates and Deadlines
Summer 2025: Applications must be submitted by July 1.
Fall 2025: Applications must be submitted by August 1.
Spring 2026: Applications must be submitted by December 15.
Admission decisions are typically mailed out 2-3 weeks after all required application materials have been received.
