Bison Leadership Institute scheduled

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the Bison Leadership Institute, set to take place on Wednesday, April 2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the Memorial Union’s Anishinaabe Theater.

The theme for this year’s Bison Leadership Institute is “The Art of Connection,” and will be presented with a Ted X approach. It will feature a variety of campus leaders presenting on how everyone can connect with people in a meaningful manner to develop stronger relationships, strengthen organization and increase a feeling of belonging.

The speakers and the title of their talk for this year are:

  • Scott Pryor “Show Up and See People”
  • Seinquis Leinen “Alone Together: Tackling Loneliness on Campus”
  • Jill Nelson “Connecting with your Courage and BRAVING Trust”
  • Margaret Latterell “Failure: Upsides to Messing Up”
  • Patrick Kirkpatrick “A Loser's Guide to Winning Friends or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb”
  • Alyssa Teubner “Cultivating Connections (Without the Cringe)”
  • Austin Anderson “Dare to Lead Differently?”

The event is free, and dinner will be provided. To attend, RSVP by Friday, March 28.
