Congresswoman Fedorchak visits NDSU

North Dakota Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak visited NDSU last week, touring key research facilities and engaging with university leaders on the role of higher education in addressing workforce needs and economic development in the state.

During her visit, Fedorchak toured the new Peltier Complex alongside Joe and Norma Peltier Endowed Vice President for Agriculture, Greg Lardy. The state-of-the-art facility showcases NDSU’s commitment to agricultural advancements and its significant contributions to research that impact farmers and agribusinesses in the state and across the country.

Fedorchak also visited Dean Webster’s Polymers and Coatings Laboratory, where she witnessed firsthand the cutting-edge research being conducted in materials science. The university’s innovations in polymers and coatings are making a nationwide impact, reinforcing NDSU’s reputation as a hub for scientific advancement. NDSU President David Cook led the tour of NDSU.

In addition to her time at NDSU, Congresswoman Fedorchak addressed the North Dakota State House and Senate and focused on issues critical to North Dakota’s future. She emphasized fiscal responsibility, energy security and regulatory reform as essential drivers of economic growth and sustainability.

NDSU is at the forefront of efforts to address North Dakota’s workforce challenges, equipping students with the skills needed to meet the demands of the evolving job market.

NDSU’s commitment to research, education and industry collaboration remains a cornerstone of progress that will help North Dakota navigate economic and workforce transitions.
