Eric Leise recently was named director of NDSU’s International Student and Study Abroad Services as the result of a national search.
Leise most recently served as director of International Admissions at South Dakota State University, where he supervises, mentors and professionally develops the international admissions team among other responsibilities. He also served in similar roles at Black Hills State University, the University of Oregon and the University of South Dakota. Leise said, “I consider myself a builder of teams and relationships that extend across campus, the region and the world.”
Laura Oster-Aaland, vice provost for student affairs and institutional equity said, “I am thrilled to welcome Eric to the NDSU community. His diverse experiences in study abroad, international admissions and student services make him extremely well suited to lead the Office of International Student and Study Abroad Services at NDSU. Eric’s passion for and experience with all of the facets of internationalization was clear in his interview. He is a collaborative leader who is committed to equity and inclusion. I cannot wait to see what he and the competent staff in ISSAS can accomplish together.”
Leise will begin his new role on Jan. 4.
