NDSU is scheduled to hold the fall 2024 commencement ceremony Friday, Dec. 20, in the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.
The 2 p.m. event will include the College of Arts and Sciences; College of Health and Human Sciences; College of Agriculture, Food Systems and Natural Resources; College of Business; College of Engineering; Interdisciplinary Studies.
According to Jackie Schluchter, interim co-registrar and associate registrar, 580 candidates are expected to participate in the ceremonies, as of Dec. 3. A total of 882 students are eligible.
“Earning a degree is a major milestone, so we are excited to celebrate with our graduating students,” Schluchter said.
Austin Rinke, who is receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, has been selected as class representative and will speak during the ceremony.
Rinke is a resident of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He is the son of Marc and Sue Rinke.
Caleb Ruziska, who is earning bachelor’s degrees in music and biological sciences, will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Ruziska is from Fargo.
Elizabeth Wilhelmi was selected to sing NDSU school song “The Yellow and the Green.” Wilhelmi is a vocal music undergraduate student from Fargo.
North Dakota State Board of Higher Education representative Curtis Biller also is scheduled to address the graduating class. Biller grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota. He's been a business consultant focusing on hiring, retention, strategic planning and culture since 2000.
