There are several opportunities available for groups and departments to adopt a week with NDSU’s Little Free Food Pantry.
Adopting the pantry means stocking the shelves at least once during that adoption week with non-expired, shelf stable items in good condition. New items should be placed behind existing items and expiration dates should be checked.
There is a sign to the right of the pantry noting which organization has adopted it for that week. Individual donations are also welcome and encouraged.
Please visit the pantry’s online signup for availability.
The Little Free Pantry is in the Memorial Union across from the Herd Shop. It is a mini pantry available daily, while items last, during the union’s operating hours to anyone in need. Its purpose is an emergency food source. There is no application process for use.
In addition, the Goods for the Herd Food Pantry is a fully stocked pantry available through an intake form and by appointment only for NDSU community members in need.
A new Little Free Pantry also is located in Barry Hall, room 104.
