Jeff Knight, NDSU assistant professor of printmaking and graphic design, was named the Silver Medal winner at the 2025 American Advertising Federation-North Dakota American Advertising Awards. The award recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to the advertising industry and their communities.

Knight, who teaches in NDSU’s visual arts department, was selected by a panel of past Silver Medal Award recipients. The honor is given to individuals who demonstrated creative excellence, elevated industry standards, contributed to the advancement of advertising and engaged in civic and community service.

A graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead with a degree in graphic design, Knight later earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. In addition to his academic role, he owns Cereal, a design and branding studio in Fargo.

NDSU’s design program also earned a record number of student awards at the event, receiving around 15 gold and silver honors. This success had been a constant in the program over the past few years, with the leadership of Knight and fellow professor Andrew Stark.

The 2025 American Advertising Awards ceremony was held in Fargo, celebrating achievements across multiple categories in the advertising industry.
