The NDSU Office of Multicultural Programs the New Beginnings Team is scheduled to host a variety of events for Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, Oct. 14.

A Tipi will be erected from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the Babbling Brook on campus. Inside there will be informational posters about the Tipi construction and the significance of Indigenous Peoples Day.

A presentation on traditional Indigenous Medicines will be given by Christy Goulet, an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, from 1-3 p.m. in the Memorial Union Hidatsa room. This is a first come first serve event for the first 50 people.

Indigenous People’s Day honors Native Americans, their resilience and their contributions to American society throughout history.
